This 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is a rust free, very nice,
very clean low mileage California vehicle. This Grand Cherokee is
about as loaded as they came in 1997. The previous owner bought and
set it up to be towed behind his motorhome, but he decided (his
wife) that the motorhome life was not for them after a couple of
trips. The body on this Jeep is exceptionally clean and straight.
The Stone White paint appears to be all original and still looks
excellent. All of the cladding and the bumpers are in excellent
original condition. The underside is also extremely clean and we
found no rust issues with this vehicles.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The leather seats
still look beautiful and the headliner, door panels, dash, dash
bezel, and carpet also are in beautiful original condition. The
headlights taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. This vehicle has tilt wheel and
working cruise control. The power mirrors and power seats are
working. The power windows and power locks are working. The horn
and windshield wipers work and the heat and AC are also
working.
Mechanically this Jeep is top notch and it runs and drives
wonderful. The engine is the 5.2L 318 V8 that runs strong with no
issues or red flags that we found. It is totally stock and
original. It has the 44RE automatic transmission that shifts nice.
It is mated to the np249 transfer case which is an AWD system and
it works great. It also does have a low range. The rear axle is a
Dana 44 with 3.73 gears and a factory limited slip. The front axle
is a Dana 30 with 3.73 gears. This is all sitting on a beautiful
set of Factory Aluminum Wheels with new All Terrain tires size
255/75/15.
