If you're on this site browsing cars, odds are that at some point,
you have probably fantasized about owning a Tri-Five Chevy like
this, fully repainted orange and white 1957 Chevrolet 210.
Tastefully and thoughtfully modified, this two-door post has been
upgraded to a Bel Air-level trim, with all its polished chrome in
the right places, and retains its classically sporty look, which so
many of us have fallen in love with over the years.
Inside, we find a well-done tuck-and-roll style upholstery. Black
leather seating is contrasted with orange seatbelts, while a
matching orange insert is in the four-spoke power-assisted steering
wheel. The traditional three-pod cluster has been upgraded with a
set of Classics Instruments gauges. Push/pull HVAC knobs handle
cabin temperature, while an old-school analog clock and Bel Air
logo fill up the passenger side of the expansive dashboard. An
upgraded AM/FM radio sits in its production spot, but offers the
added benefit of Bluetooth connectivity.
Under that signature '57 hood, we find a Summit 383 cubic-inch
crate V-8. A single four-barrel Holley carburetor sits atop a
high-rise intake manifold and lightweight aluminum heads, while
spent gases are sent through a set of long-tube headers, and true
dual exhaust capped off with a pair of FlowMaster mufflers gives
this '57 the sound it should have had all along. If even more
volume and efficiency are desired, then the dual electric cut-outs
allow you to make a truly grand entrance. That power is routed
through a T10 four-speed manual transmission before heading out to
the twelve-bolt rear.
