1973 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER
We are happy to announce our 1973 Plymouth RoadRunner is now
available. This iconic model stands as a testament to Plymouth's
legacy in American muscle cars, embodying the spirit of performance
and style that car enthusiasts appreciate.
The RoadRunner was produced as a stand-alone model for four
generations from 1968 to 1975. It later continued as a trim option
until 1980, at which point Plymouth discontinued it. The name
"RoadRunner" was inspired by the Warner Bros. "Looney Tunes"
character from the Wile E. Coyote series, and the car featured a
distinctive "beep-beep" horn, a signature trait exclusive to the
RoadRunner.
The 1973-74 RoadRunner models introduced a complete redesign with
new sheet metal and a squared-up front-end style. Rear changes made
these models resemble the four-door versions more closely than the
1971-72 models. Interior enhancements included optional power seats
and windows, plusher carpeting, and upgraded seat covers, elevating
the car's luxury while maintaining its muscular stance.
