When it comes to muscle cars, there is nothing quite like a
first-generation Camaro. Power, prestige, and pizazz begin to
describe this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute. Fully
repainted in a deep burgundy red exterior, complete with twin
full-length black racing stripes, this racy restomod sports the
correct grille and rear SS badges, along with its ducktail spoiler,
cowl hood, and lowered stance, all complemented by its big polished
Intro wheels.
But before we get to the powerplant part of the fun, first let us
introduce you to this exquisitely redone custom interior. Upgraded
with premium black vinyl with red inserts for both the front and
rear seats, this Camaro also features a power-assisted, six-spoke
steering wheel that sits just ahead of a set of white-faced Auto
Meter gauges set against a matte black dash panel. An Alpine
AM/FM/AUX/Satellite touchscreen offers Bluetooth connectivity,
giving you all of the entertainment options available to modern
vehicles. A staple-style shifter and padded expletive handle give
both the driver and passenger something to hold onto when this Pony
Car really digs in.
Under that aggressive hood, we find a clean engine bay with a
powerful 350 cubic-inch V-8. A single four-barrel Holley Quick Fuel
carburetor feeds an aluminum Weiland intake manifold, while a set
of Patriot long-tube headers channels exhaust gases through a true
dual exhaust, complete with FlowMaster mufflers for that
unmistakably authentic muscle car sound. Power from that small
block gets funneled through a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission before heading out to the ten-bolt rear end. The
aforementioned 20-inch Intro wheels are shod in 265/35ZR-120 in the
rear, while staggered 225/35ZR-19 Westlake SA-07 rubber covers
19-inch wheels up front.
