If ever there were a long hood that perfectly balances vintage
charm with thoughtful upgrades, this fully restored 1971 Porsche
911T is it. Finished in its factory-correct Light Ivory, this coupe
underwent a meticulous, multi-year refurbishment completed in 2021
that brought the car back to its former glory and then some.
These cars have one direction to go for decades, up, up, up and
more up! They are iconic from the beginning and never ever go out
of style. The way they drive, sound and attract the attention as if
you are driving a flying saucer. People instantly recognize these
and when the new TOP GUN movie came out and Peggy was driving one
very similar, don't think that there aren't plenty of people
searching for one of these to put into their collection.
This 911T comes with a huge file of records, receipts and history
along with the original steel wheels with hubs. This is the
standard for a Porsche 911, it was done to near perfection and the
color combo is so authentic.
The body was stripped and refinished, fitted with fresh seals and
glass, and protected with paint protection film, while subtle
modern touches like LED headlights enhance usability without
diluting the classic look. Sitting on iconic 15? Fuchs wheels
wrapped in period-correct Vredestein Sprint Classics, the stance is
spot-on early 911.
Inside, the cabin delivers timeless Porsche style with beige
leatherette comfort seats trimmed in houndstooth inserts,
complemented by Coco mats, fold-down rear seats, and a heater for
year-round enjoyment. The rebuilt VDO gauges sit behind a
leather-wrapped four-spoke wheel, reminding you this is still very
much a driver's car.
Power comes from a 2.2-liter flat-six fed by dual Zenith
carburetors and backed by a five-speed 901 manual transaxle.
Factory rated at 125 horsepower, the engine benefits from
911E-profile cams, a rebuild, refreshed carburetors, a refurbished
CDI box, and recently installed SSI heat exchangers, making it as
eager on the road as it is authentic on paper. Suspension and
braking upgrades, including sway bars, Turbo tie rods, and PMB
calipers, give the car confident, composed road manners.
Featured in the December 2021 issue of Excellence magazine, this
911T comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, extensive
service records, spare wheels and parts, a car cover, and the
owner's manual. It's the kind of early 911 that feels equally at
home carving back roads, turning heads at Cars & Coffee, or simply
being admired in the garage.
A beautifully sorted longhood that captures everything enthusiasts
love about early air-cooled Porsches, light, mechanical, and
endlessly charismatic.
