For Sale: 1967 Ford Thunderbird in Orland , California

Vehicle Description

After building custom motorcycles for many years my son and I thought the wife deserved something just for her..Pauline had always talked about a 67THUNDERBIRD Landau Coupe she had in high-school...The search was on... after finding this California car in North Carolina we contacted the owner , After a little back and forth we purchased the car and had it delivered by private carrier to our home in Northern California. The exterior seemed Flawless but what sold me on this car was the interior, whoever owned this car always kept it in the shade more than likely parked in the garage with no sunburnt shoulders on any of the upholstery the Dash not cracked, black vinyl roof looked like it just came out the showroom  along with the enclosed paperwork we found it was purchased in San Diego the new owner was smart enough to have the car undercoated and there is not a bit of rust anywhere even in the usual spots like under the battery and the differential everything is perfect! as perfect as a 59-year-old car could be, previous owner had showed this car love approximately 20 years ago with a very good Edelbrock Performer carburetor installation and a 2 1/2-in exhaust system with turbo mufflers. The car is equipped with air shock load levelers in the back and I replaced the front shocks with coilovers in the front new sway bars front and rear. I replaced the old black rubber strut rod bushings with heavy duty red silicone replacements. The car handles very well and cruises down the highway 70 mph all day long. Someone had repainted the car in a regular Ford White which we changed to the correct Wimbledon White, the car is so nice we took it to the Sacramento Autorama and did quite well,  air conditioning and windows both front passenger and drivers window has had the motor replaced by yours truly and will be coming with two extra Motors right and left side for future reference... the expansion valve on the air conditioning had been replaced by the previous owner and runs on new freon the vacuum system for the headlights works well the air conditioning system works well but only blows on your feet I hadn't had time to work that over yet. One good point with the car being a 67 a normal guy can work on the car with American tools and nothing metric the underneath of the hood.  the sound deadening insulation was replaced by myself the engine bay on a scale from 1 to 10 is a 8..that job I hadn't gotten around to yet. The car comes with a matched set of 10x15 us mags and eight sets of brand new rubber the four stock steel rims are stamped Ford and are original to the car the Tbird had very nice hubcaps but seems like someone needed them more than I did and stole two of them, the US mags that are on the car now would be proper for the time and do not look out of place on this car.  I graduated high school in 1972 and if I had gotten the car then these would have been the rims Id have chosen.  The car is straight and true with no Bondo that I could find anywhere.. the glass is original tinted green, perfect with no chips or Sandstorm damage. We have the original sales receipt and the pic sheet from the owner who selected AM FM radio seat belts And load leveling air shocks The Hideaway headlights Have sleepy eye while opening But I sort of Dig it..they work well. If you know Thunderbirds at all you know the Run was 67 8 and 9, fhe 68 and 9s look close but the 67 is a animal unto itself and came with no clearance lights and the front bumper is much better looking than the 60 8 and 9.. IMHO on a scale from 1 to 10 this car definitely gets a 9+ The typical things that don't work on this car is the radio and the clock... the retractable antenna works perfect.  You will be receiving the four us mags and five steel rims and eight sets of tires all with less than two or three hundred miles on them. The compression check on the car? All cylinders are within 10 lb of each other and  runs excellent.  I'm very happy that the original purchaser got the undercoat option there is no rust on this car anywhere which is sort of hard to find with a car in its 60s.  The person we got this car from in North Carolina was a collector and treated his cars the way I treated this car and has always been in a garage since I've owned it and looks like it's been pretty much that way since the day was purchased new.. have a look at all my photos. if there's any questions feel free to call.

After looking at other listings on different websites I wanted to add... you will not find Rust like I've seen on all other 67 Thunderbirds for sale. Look closely at the bottoms of my quarter panels the engine bay differential and front coils there is no rust. Maybe a little surface rust but nothing like I've seen on other 67s.  The wording on other descriptions use complicated and exuberant words to describe something the car is not.. this 67 as I see it looks closer to showroom than any others..
