This 1968 Ford Mustang "Bullitt" re-creation is powered by a Ford
Racing 347ci stroker V8 engine equipped with a Holley QFT
carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, Patriot ceramic-coated
long-tube headers, PerTronix electronic ignition, high-torque
starter, Cold Case aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan,
paired with a Tremec T5 5-speed manual transmission, a Currie
9-inch rear axle with 3.50 gears and an Eaton Truetrac limited-slip
differential. The car was constructed as a comprehensive ground-up
Resto-Mod using a Dynacorn reproduction fastback body, with the
build completed between 2018 and 2019 and additional work through
2023, supported by receipts exceeding $200,000. Finished in
Highland Green with a black interior, it features a Bullitt-style
configuration including a black taillight panel, black fuel cap,
hood-mounted turn indicators, base 1967 grille with center bar and
emblems deleted, reverse lights deleted, U.S.-spec headlights and
LED taillights. Chassis and handling upgrades include Total Control
Products power rack & pinion steering, adjustable front coilovers,
Koni rear shocks, Wilwood front disc brakes and 11-inch rear drum
brakes. The underside is finished in red oxide primer and treated
with Waxoyl corrosion protection, while the floors have been
modified, lowered, refinished and treated with Dynamat
sound-deadening. The car rides on 15-inch American Racing Torq
Thrust D wheels wrapped in 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
Interior appointments include black vinyl upholstery with wood
applique trim, a Shelby-style leather-wrapped steering wheel,
8,000-rpm tachometer, 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary oil, water and
battery gauges, Old Air Products climate control, a modified
factory-style radio with AM/FM and Bluetooth, and a quartz clock.
