In the world of Corvettes, firsts will always command significant
attention and adulation from enthusiasts and collectors. This
spectacular 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Z07 is not
only the first track-focused C8 in the long and storied lineage of
Chevy's flagship model, but also comes with the extreme Z07
performance package to make an already-capable Z06 even more
race-ready. Add to that the fact that this car is also a
commemorative edition celebrating 7 decades of the Corvette, and
you have a world-beating supercar that is also super collectible.
With only 3,212 actual miles, this ride is decked out in its
original Carbon Flash Metallic paint, one of only 172 Anniversary
cars finished in this color. With its removable targa top, this
domestic exotic is guaranteed to turn heads wherever it goes.
Inside, we find a stellar Ceramic White leather cockpit-style
interior. Beginning with just the seats, the top-tier 3LZ GT2
heated and ventilated buckets with lumbar and bolster adjustments.
In addition, this Z06 comes with keyless open/start, dual-zone
climate control, memory packages for both driver and passenger, a
heads-up display, a rear camera mirror, and HD front and rear
cameras. A 12-inch color Driver Infotainment Center includes a Bose
14-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and wireless
charging. A full suite of safety features includes Rear
Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind-Side Zone Alert, Forward Collision
Alert, Pedestrian/Bicyclist Braking, and Automatic Emergency
Braking.
As you might imagine, power for this supercar is nothing short of
outrageous. Out back, we find an incredible naturally aspirated
5.5-liter DOHC V-8 engine. Thanks to a first-ever flat-plane-crank,
along with a six-stage dry-sump lubrication system, titanium intake
valves, and sodium-filled exhaust valves, cast aluminum block and
heads, direct-injection, and a 12.5:1 compression ratio, this
hand-built V-8 pumps out an impressive 670-horsepower at 8,600 rpm
and 460 pound-feet of torque at 6,300 rpm. It is also noteworthy to
mention that the spine-tingling 8,600 rpm redline is the highest in
the Corvette's 70-year history. That power for the V-8 is routed
through a trick 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle before
being funneled to the rear wheels.
