1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 454 COWL INDUCTION, GAUGES, 4-SPEED!
This is a very clean car from New Mexico. The body is very straight
and the gaps all line up great. All the sheet metal appears to be
original. This is one sharp car in its factory color, Cranberry
Red! The paint is very smooth and glossy. There are gloss black SS
stripes running down the cowl induction hood and trunk lid. The
stripes are correct and under the clear coat. It has a functional
Cowl Induction hood! All the chrome and stainless on this Chevelle
shine very nicely. It sits on a set of 14x7 factory SS wheels with
new BF Goodrich T/A 225/70/14 radial tires. The engine compartment
is nicely detailed and correct. It has a period-correct 454 ci
engine, with a few performance upgrades. Upgrades include a dual
feed Holley carburetor with correct fuel line, HEI ignition for
reliability, correct Cowl Induction air cleaner and factory chrome
valve covers. It also features a cadmium plated Delco Moraine brake
booster, correct master cylinder, correct hoses and tower clamps,
spring type battery cables, 4-core radiator with the correct fan
shroud and clutch fan. The engine bay is finished in a satin black.
The black bucket seat interior is in good shape from the headliner
to the carpet. The door panels and seat upholstery look to have all
been replaced. The dash looks like it is original. It features the
optional tach and gauges and a clock that works! It also has a
factory console with a Muncie 4-speed shifter coming up from the
floor with the correct chrome shifter knob! It even has its owners
manual in the glovebox. Looking up at the motor, it is clean as
well as the Muncie M21close ratio- 4 speed transmission. The floors
are all clean metal, no signs of rust or patches. It has front disc
brakes and the frame was powder coated during the frame off
restoration. There is a 12 bolt rear end with 3:31 gears. It also
features an F41 suspension which consists of rear boxed in control
arms and rear sway bar. It has a newer gas tank, fuel lines, brake
lines and a new dual exhaust system that runs all the way out the
back with the correct cowbell exhaust tips. The E-brake assembly is
complete, hooked up and working. Inside the trunk is rock solid
with a nice black/aqua spatter finish. It has new weather
stripping, spare tire and jacking assembly with lug wrench. This is
one exceptionally great looking Chevelle SS! To top all of that it
drives like a dream!! *Please contact us for the most complete
