Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door hardtop for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. The Bel Air received new, revamped styling for the 1955
model year. The Bel Air received new, revamped styling for the 1955
model year. The Bel Air was 3,456 lb. (1,568 kg) and 16 ft (4.9 m)
long. It was called the "Hot One" in GM's advertising campaign.
The interior features black leather bucket seats with matching rear
bench seat. 4 Point roll cage, front belt harness, and rear seat
belts. You also have a custom center console with power window
switches and door locks. Dash includes Instrumentation by Stewart
Warner, consists of a 160-MPH speedometer along with an 8K-RPM tach
and row of matching smaller secondary gauges turned just the right
way for driver line of sight. Odometer shows 711 miles since
restoration was completed. Additional upgrades include a Sony CD
player, Hurst knuckle grip shifter, and three-spoke Grant steering
wheel.
The bodywork was refinished in its current Blue Metallic paint in
2022, and its chrome bumpers and dual exhaust outlets that exit
behind the mini-tubbed rear wheel wells. All windows have been
tinted other than the front windshield. It features Corvette door
handles, and the doors close with ease. All exterior lights are
fully functional.
The 454 V8 big block was installed in 2022 and is equipped with a
Pro Form Q series 950 double pumper, and steel World Merlin heads.
Additional upgrades include a custom oil pan, front sway bar, power
steering, dampener, long tube headers, Edelbrock RPM series tru-flo
mufflers, Ford 9" rear end, and a Holley high pressure fuel pump.
Power is sent to the rear via a Muncie four-speed manual
transmission (casting number 3885010).
The 15" wheels are mounted to 195/65R15 up front and 295/50R15 out
back.
Suspension incorporates front a-arm with coil and shock, and Chris
Alstons chassis works solid axle suspension with QA1 adjustable
coilovers in the rear. Braking is provided by front Wilwood disc
brakes and drum in the rear.
The Bel Air will be sold on a clean Arizona title.
