The Triumph TR6 was produced by the Triumph Division of British
Leyland from 1968 through 1975 as part of the TR roadster series.
The TR6's styling was designed by German coachbuilder Karmann and
featured bold, angular qualities with a sloping hood,
straight-edged grille and large headlights.
Full Restoration with Heritage Trust Certificate -
This handsome 1971 Triumph TR6 has spent much of its life in
California and has benefited from a quality restoration in 2022-24.
(The owner has included restoration documentation/receipts - $20k.)
A certificate furnished by the British Motor Industry Heritage
Trust documents the TR6's original factory records. The exterior
was professionally refinished in 2-stage Damson Red and factory 15"
OEM road wheels w/new trim rings mount Hankook performance radials.
The tan vinyl interior has also been fully restored and features a
walnut veneer dash with full working instrumentation and matching
tonneau cover. A Sony AM/FM/Bluetooth sound system has been
installed and the new convertible top is in excellent
condition.
Triumph 2.5L In-Line Six -
The TR6 is powered by Triumph's 2.5-liter OHV inline-6 that sits in
a clean engine compartment. This rebuilt motor is equipped with
dual Zenith-Stromberg 175 carburetors, hardened valve-seats,
Pertronix ignition, new alternator/starter and an aluminum radiator
with custom aluminum shroud. It is backed by a fully-synchronized
4-speed manual gearbox (new clutch components). A new fuel tank has
been installed and a tube-header stainless steel dual exhaust
provides a wonderful Triumph growl. The traditional body-on-frame
chassis features rack-and-pinion steering, power-assisted disc/drum
brakes and independent trailing arm rear suspension with new
Armstrong lever shocks. All coil springs, universal joints and rear
axle bearings have been replaced.
The TR6 remains an iconic Triumph model, combining performance and
style to recreate the essence of British motoring. Car enthusiasts
love its timeless design and wonderful driving characteristics.
This British icon is waiting to meet its new owner - and it will
not take long.
