This exceptional 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Dale Earnhardt
Intimidator Edition stands out vibrantly. This highly original car
has just 9,808 actual miles on its odometer, explaining why its
original Galaxy Silver metallic lower body kit (complete with RCR
logos), red perimeter racing stripe, and window graphics all look
nearly identical to the way they did almost a quarter of a century
ago.
The interior features Bowtie-embroidered headrests, Intimidator
floormats, and a custom speedometer featuring Dale's signature,
along with the requisite RCR and #3 logos. In addition to those
bonus features, this SS comes with power-heated leather seats,
power windows, locks, and mirrors. Power steering, cruise control,
air-conditioning, and a power sunroof all make for a very relaxed
ride to anywhere, or nowhere in particular.
Under the hood there is a stout 3.8-liter overhead valve V-6 that,
when new, produced 200 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque.
That power is then routed through a four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive before heading to the front transaxle,
where sixteen-inch five-spoke factory wheels shod in 225/60R-16
Goodyear rubber put power to the pavement.
