True 138 VIN SS. Completely restored 1967 Chevelle SS 396 in stunning Marina Blue paint over black interior. Non-matching 1969 396 (402) mated to a TH400 transmission and 12 bolt rear end. Casting number on block is 3955272. No stone left unturned on this comprehensive restoration. Straight bodywork gets covered by arguably Chevrolet's best color in Chevelle history and polished to a mirror finish. The 396 big block was refreshed and treated to a healthy cam and a Brawler double-pumper carb, as well as some other modest performance upgrades. Expect power output to be well into the mid 400hp range. 15" Cragar S/S chrome wheels shroud a Wilwood disc brake conversion on all 4 corners, with a Wilwood master cylinder. Cooling system upgraded via aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. Trim and brightwork are impeccable. Inside you are greeted by fresh upholstery, carpet and headliner. The radio was upgraded to a modern Custom Autosound unit, but retains factory appearance. A walnut 3-spoke steering wheel frames the original gauge panel, which shows very little sign of age. The center console is fresh as well, with a functioning clock ahead of the shifter. Bumpers, trim and bright work are impeccable. Even the little things were addressed...license plate bracket, light assemblies and emblems are refreshed as well. You will be VERY hard pressed to find a nicer Chevelle, and this one is a factory SS to boot. If you are in the market for a clean, well-sorted big block Chevelle, DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE!
