The Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate is a timeless beauty, and this
example is in the perfect color combination. Bright Red paint fits
this sleek body very well and looks phenomenal when paired with a
black top and interior. The Graduate emblems on the black spoiler,
and Graduate script on the fenders let everyone know this is a rare
piece.
The black vinyl bucket seats are in great shape and very
comfortable while straddling a nice center console. The gauge
package is large and easy to keep an eye on all the important
readings. This 1986 features a 2.0-liter Twin Cam inline 4-cylinder
engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and it gets up and
goes! The only options available were A/C and dealer installed
radio and this car features both. The A/C blows, but not cold. The
sound system has been completely rewired and features a subwoofer,
Boston Acoustics speakers, and a Kenwood AM/FM/Bluetooth radio.
Driven by the same engine as the Quadrifoglio and Veloce, the
Graduate was a package only offered in North American to
acknowledge the appearance of the Alfa Romeo in the 1967 movie
featuring Dustin Hoffman. That package was offered from 1985 to
1990. 4-wheel power disc brakes bring this drop top to a halt in a
hurry, and the steering is responsive and tight. This Alfa Romeo
handles curves like it's on rails! At just over 2,200 lbs. it will
manage nearly 25 miles per gallon and it is a heck of a lot of fun
doing it. With a top speed of 118 miles per hour and a very
streamlined Pinafarina built body, this car is perfectly at home on
the highway or taking a country back road.
