This custom 1932 Ford Coupe hot rod is constructed using an
original 1932 steel body and firewall mounted on a genuine 1932
Ford frame and crossmember. It was built as a faithful
representation of the Doane Spencer hot rod displayed at the
Petersen Automotive Museum. Power is provided by a bored Mercury
Flathead V8 engine fitted with a SCAT crankshaft, connecting rods
and pistons, along with Offenhauser cylinder heads, period-style
intake, carburetors, fuel pump, gas pedal assembly and air cleaner.
The drivetrain is complemented by a Halibrand quick-change rear
end. The chassis features a pinched frame with the rear stepped up
7 inches, spring sets mounted behind the axle and Lincoln front
brakes. Electrical upgrades include a 12-volt conversion, and
instrumentation is handled by batwing-style gauges. The vehicle is
accompanied by a comprehensive build book documenting all
components and construction details, with total documented parts
costs exceeding $140,000. The car has been recently serviced and
fully detailed. **TITLE BRANDED AS ODOMETER DISCREPANCY NOT ACTUAL
