This 1989 AC Cobra MK IV roadster is powered by a 302ci V8 engine
paired with a T5 5-speed gearbox. It is finished in Zermatt Silver
with black stripes over a black leather interior with black
carpeting and includes a removable black soft-top. Purchased in
2003 with just 3,000 miles from new from the owner of a Ford
dealership in Trenton, NJ, it received its stripes during the first
ownership, and the entire car was clearcoated. Under long-term
ownership, the side mirrors were updated to the current units and a
scoop was added to the bonnet - both recommended by Ford SVT
personnel when the car was shown at an event - along with
SVT-suggested engine, gearbox and suspension enhancements performed
by a top performance technician at a local Ford dealership.
Upgrades include a complete engine rebuild with a mild cam, GT40
aluminum heads, headers, Holley carburetor, high-rise manifold,
custom side pipes with mufflers, stiffened suspension with
adjustable shocks and a lower rear gear ratio. Built with a
16-gauge all-aluminum body hand-formed from the original 427 Shelby
Cobra bucks, this factory-licensed non-replica AC Cobra MK IV is
one of only 480 total AC MK IVs produced, and it has earned
numerous awards while being maintained in superb, serviced
condition. It includes the convertible top and frame with side
curtains, spare wheel/tire and jack, CocoMats floor mats, fire
extinguisher and Cobra shoulder harness, and it comes with the
original exhaust system and intake manifold with fuel injection. It
has never been tracked and has been stored in climate-controlled
conditions. 13,427 actual miles.
