The 1985 Morgan 4/4 1600 is a hand-built British sports car
representing the sixth generation of the legendary 4/4 lineup. The
"4/4" designation stands for four wheels and four cylinders,
distinguishing it from Morgan's early three-wheelers. Known for
holding one of the longest continuous production runs in automotive
history (1936--2019), the 1985 model sits in a sweet spot that
blends pre-war classic aesthetics with modernized 1980s Ford
running gear. The 1985 model year brought a notable aesthetic and
structural update. Starting this year, the 4/4 adopted the wider
wings (fenders) originally designed for the more powerful Morgan
Plus 4. This gave the car a slightly more aggressive, planted
stance while retaining its iconic flowing lines, sweeping running
boards, and rear-mounted spare tire. This car runs and drives great,
but does need some cosmetic work on the interior and exterior as
shown in the pictures.
