From its striking blue color to its skillfully modified exterior,
everything about this 1935 Chevrolet Master Deluxe appears to have
been designed for maximum visual impact. Those efforts have
definitely been successful. This is a ride that absolutely demands
your attention, and as you draw closer, you'll notice some
outstanding details, including the sturdy steel body that pairs
with fiberglass fenders, that signature billet front grille with a
bird hood ornament looming just above, the attention-grabbing
suicide doors, and the consistent body lines from front to back.
The paint has a consistent metallic flake that really captures the
sunlight nicely, and the frenched doors with their billet handles
are a great finishing touch.
The fully custom leather interior shows a lot of skilled
workmanship and has obviously been treated with care. The front
buckets and rear bench seat are draped in tri-color leather covers
that blend white, gray, and blue and, as you glance around, you're
bound to notice just how clean and well-fitted the interior
components look. A striking chrome steering wheel with leather
wrapping has been added to the tilting column and the digital
gauges just beyond it are clear and fully functional in their
billet panel. While the air conditioning system will need a little
attention to get back online, all the components are securely in
place, and the way the billet vents have been incorporated into the
dash has to be seen up close to be fully appreciated. With a
Pioneer AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth connectivity also on hand, this
is a very comfortable driving environment.
In addition to its head-turning looks, this classic is configured
for driving enjoyment. The featured 350-cubic-inch V8 is running
strong. Fed by an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor paired with an
intake manifold by the same manufacturer, it pulls with plenty of
strength and offers a great throttle response. The accompanying
four-speed automatic 700R4 transmission shifts without issue and
includes an overdrive gear to make this Chevy well-suited for
highway driving. With a Heidt's coilover front end and a four-link
rear suspension, this classic rides and handles with surprising
agility, and its four-wheel power disc brakes bring it to a stop in
nothing flat.
