GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this truly special 1967
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, a genuine diamond in the rough and one
of the most honest examples you will come across. Finished in its
original Marlboro Maroon paint with a black hood stripe, this
Corvette wears its age and originality proudly. The body, paint,
and interior were carefully removed during restoration and
preserved exactly as they were, allowing the car to retain its
authentic character and survivor level presence. Sitting on silver
wheels with chrome Corvette hub caps and accented by brilliant
chrome bumpers, this Stingray has an unmistakable look that simply
cannot be replicated.
Power comes from its numbers matching, rebuilt L68 427ci V8,
factory rated at 400 horsepower. This highly desirable L68
configuration features a tri power setup with three two barrel
carburetors and is paired to a Powerglide two speed automatic
transmission, a combination produced in extremely limited numbers
for the 1967 model year. It is thought that less than 100 examples
were built with the L68, coupe, and Powerglide configuration. The
result is effortless big block torque with smooth cruising manners,
making this Corvette both a standout performer and a rare collector
grade example. The engine bay and undercarriage present
beautifully, reflecting the care and attention that went into doing
the restoration the right way.
Inside, the original saddle leather interior remains in place and
tells the story of the car's life in the best possible way.
Features include a telescopic steering column, shoulder seat belts,
analog clock, and an AM FM stereo. The interior has the feel that
only a well preserved original Corvette can deliver, combining
period correct charm with undeniable authenticity. With just 23,246
miles showing, the cabin remains remarkably intact and
inviting.
This 1967 Corvette comes with extensive service records,
restoration photos, and notes going back all the way to the
original purchase.
This 1967 Corvette Stingray has earned an NCRS score of 97+,
further validating its originality, correctness, and overall
condition. Being numbers matching and retaining its original paint
and interior while benefiting from a fully restored frame and
drivetrain makes this an exceptionally rare offering. It represents
the perfect balance between preservation and restoration and is
exactly what serious collectors search for.
