This custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is a nut-and-bolt build by Chip
Foose and recently showcased by Foose at SEMA. Power comes from a
6.2-liter supercharged LSA engine paired with a 4-speed 4L60E
automatic transmission. The engine was professionally built and
features an upgraded camshaft, cylinder head work, performance
exhaust and intake system. Equipped with modern amenities and
performance upgrades, this Chevelle includes an aftermarket air
conditioning system, power steering and four-wheel Baer disc brakes
front and rear. A Ford 9-inch rear end with locker, Air Ride
Technologies suspension and MagnaFlow dual exhaust complete the
drivetrain and chassis enhancements. The interior is finished to
factory-original specification, featuring SS-style gauges and a
discreet custom audio system, preserving the classic Chevelle
appearance with modern functionality. The exterior reflects Foose's
signature design philosophy - clean, intentional and refined. In
pursuit of visual symmetry, Chip Foose incorporated a front bumper
from an El Camino to accommodate round parking lights, along with a
custom-modified 1971 Chevelle rear bumper featuring round
taillights and a custom rear panel with integrated dual exhaust
outlets. The car is finished in a custom Foose-mixed paint color
with unique SS striping and subtle Foose badging on the cowl hood.
Rolling on one-off 18-inch Foose wheels wrapped in new tires, this
Chevelle is a true one-of-one build, executed exactly as Foose
envisioned - a thoughtfully reimagined muscle car by one of the
most respected designers in the industry.
