For Sale at Auction: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in Scottsdale, Arizona

This custom 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a fuel-injected LSX 454ci GM crate V8 engine paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Fuel delivery is managed by Frankenstein fuel injection with Holley electronics custom-tuned by KC Maxx, producing approximately 600hp and 575 ft/lbs of torque. Exhaust components consist of ceramic-coated headers feeding a custom-fabricated stainless-steel system with electronic cutouts and a quad-tip rear valance exit. This example has undergone a comprehensive, no-expense-spared overhaul recently completed by Bill Frye of Frye Motorsports. It rides on an SRIII full tube chassis fitted with C6/Z06 suspension, Viking double-adjustable coilover shocks and springs, Goodridge stainless-steel braided brake lines and Flaming River custom road-race rack & pinion steering. The rear features a Currie Fab9 independent rear suspension housing with a Detroit Locker 9-inch 35-spline differential, 3.50 gears and ZR1 bearing hubs. Stopping is handled by Wilwood disc brakes and the car rides on custom-machined Boze wheels. Paint and bodywork were performed by Doug Fisk of Fisk Motorsports in Lee's Summit, MO, including precise body-to-chassis fitment. Custom lower rear quarters were fabricated to accommodate 345/30ZR19 rear tires. Additional exterior details include a custom 1967-style Stinger hood. It is finished in Shark Gray Metallic (paint code G1B/WA400Y), applied in a PPG basecoat/clearcoat system. The interior was custom-built by Terry Holt and Acey's Upholstery & Top Shop in Little Rock, AR, using original seat frames with custom bolstering, imported Swedish leather, custom dash and console coverings, black Mercedes top fabric, Classic Instruments gauges, air conditioning and a Bluetooth-capable audio system. This Corvette has remained family-owned for 35 years prior to the recent restoration.
