This 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible is powered by its
matching-numbers Ram Air III V8 engine paired with the correct
Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The engine was refreshed in 2018
with new cam bearings, rings, camshaft, lifters, timing chain and
serviced valves, and retains the correct Ram Air-specific
carburetor, distributor, stock manifolds and fully functional Ram
Air induction system with under-dash control. Power is sent to a
special-ordered rear axle with 3.55 Safe-T-Track gears. The car
underwent a complete rotisserie restoration completed in 2019.
Exterior features include Goldenrod Yellow paint, power black
convertible top, Hurst reproduction wheels with BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires, new weatherstripping and detailed undercarriage with
correct exhaust and spiral shocks. The interior is finished in a
black Deluxe trim package with comfort-weave upholstery, molded
door panels, wood-grain accents, original AM radio, 8-track player
and factory seat belts. Additional details include rebuilt
suspension and steering, restored brake system with cadmium-plated
booster, rebuilt driveshaft, new fuel system, collapsible spare and
correct battery components. One of only 499 Ram Air III automatic
convertibles produced for 1969.
