This is probably one of the most outrageous 1956 Chevrolet Panel
Delivery ever built! Driving this around, going to shows, you can
not help getting noticed; this van draws attention. Built by David
Gongora in southern California at his custom shop there is no
shortage of details and wild ideas that make this van awesome. This
van was featured in multiple magazines along with the cover of
Custom Classic Trucks. She is finished in an Amber Fire Orange
Metallic paint complemented by a Tan "Limo Style" custom U shaped
bench in the back with, suede, leather and snake skin materials.
Overall, this delivery van is an eye catcher and in excellent
condition.
The van started out as a southwestern rust free truck and now
boasts beautiful looks with details like the Cadillac tail lights,
custom door handles and a dual exhaust routed out the sides so it
can be lowered to the ground and it sounds mean. Additionally she
has custom hood hinges and even has an interior hood release. The
van rides on a full air bag system with dual compressors, tanks,
and Bilstein shocks. The front end is Mustang II based with
independent tubular suspension and power steering rack. Four wheel
power disc brakes bring the van to a fast and safe stop!
Fitted in the interior is a high end Kenwood retractable stereo
with a flip down DVD player in the back. The vintage A/C works
along with power windows and a ldidit chrome tilt wheel. Fiber
optic and led lighting are featured though out the truck. This is
not just a stunning looking van it is also set up with some serious
power under the hood with lots of upgrades. She has Otis Satterlee
race prepped small block 350 coupled to a 700r4 automatic
transmission and a 3:73 rear end. But there is more, The engine has
a 671 speed master blower, dual quad carburetors and is completely
finished in billet and chrome everywhere. The build was completed
in 2006 and there are a couple of paint issues that have been
highlighted in the photographs.
