1958 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop, a distinctive one-year-only
body style. The Impala features a 348 cubic inch V8 engine equipped
with a tri-power carburetor setup (three two-barrel carburetors),
factory power steering, and a vintage-style air conditioning system
that blows cold. Featuring vintage ribbed aluminum valve covers
with matching air cleaner, the iconic 1958 on-year design looking
great, chrome accents, and riding on wide whitewall radial tires
mounted on chrome wheels, and with dual exhaust. Included with,
come wide white wall bias ply tires on the steel wheels and wheel
covers, along with some original HVAC parts, gauge cluster, and
more. The exterior of the car has a good shine with only minor
imperfections. The interior features a stock-looking dash with a
combination of vinyl and cloth seats, eye catching door panels in
great shape, seat belts for front and rear, intact black headliner,
and functioning stock radio. The car is equipped with an
aftermarket, more modern air conditioning compressor that uses
R134A refrigerant instead of the original R12. The engine is
running off of one carb at the moment for fuel economy. Recent work
includes new brake shoes and hoses, and a battery disconnect switch
for storage. The car runs smoothly and has excellent throttle
response and handling, making it a pleasure to drive. Nice throttle
response, a smooth ride, AM radio, speedometer, temp and fuel
gauges are working.
