The 1973 Ford Econoline four-wheel-drive supervan is built as a
tribute to the van driven by the character Sonny Hayes (played by
actor Brad Pitt) in the 2025 film "F1: The Movie." It is powered by
a Ford 302 V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission.
It incorporates exterior and interior elements modeled after the
production vehicle used onscreen, including the two-tone high-top
configuration, accessory props and features associated with the
film's hero van. The four-wheel-drive setup mirrors the stance and
capability depicted in the movie, and the exterior presentation
includes the mounted surfboard and moto-style bike representative
of the screen-used design. The interior has been finished in a
camper-style layout consistent with the film reference,
incorporating wood paneling, a fold-down bed, compact sink, mini
fridge and racing-style decor to replicate the production van's
appearance. This tribute reflects the configuration of the primary
movie van, one of four built for filming, with the hero vehicle
displayed at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed and currently on
loan to the Petersen Automotive Museum. All props shown with the
van, including interior and exterior accessories and the Brad Pitt
APXGP cutout, are included with the purchase.
