Known as "Serious Black," this custom 1934 Ford pickup is powered
by a highly dressed 239ci V8 Flathead engine mated to a built C4
3-speed automatic transmission. The 1949 Ford 8BA engine was built
by H&H Flatheads and features all polished speed accessories
and sits on one-of-one polished custom engine mounts, custom Walker
radiator, electric fan and a 6-inch dropped and drilled Superbell
front axle (suicided), while the rear has polished Aldan coilovers
and a smoothed and painted 9-inch rear. Stopping power is provided
by '50s Ford brakes front and rear with polished Buick drums all
around. No expense was spared in building this one-of-a-kind custom
with over 300 modifications. The body has been stretched in the
doors 6 inches, chopped 5 inches and uniquely channeled over a
custom aftermarket frame along with a sectioned grille. The
birdseye maple floor bed has smoothed pockets, bead rolls to match
the rear tire size and a tailgate with slim latches. All lines
underneath have also been polished with matching hardware. The bed
features a '30s Ford luggage trunk that was customized with
matching leather straps and holds a custom-built aluminum gas tank.
The BASF Black exterior complements the custom brown
diamond-stitched leather interior with matching floor and ceiling.
The interior features a Lokar 21-inch shifter and Classic
Instruments gauges, and still has the tilt-out windshield and
functional cowl. The custom cowl steering uses an F1 Ford Steering
Box attached to cross steering up front. "Serious Black" has won
multiple awards, including Best Paint, Best Interior, ISCA Best
Rod, Best Custom, Best of Show, Top 10 Goodguys Winner (multiple
times) and SEMA Battle of the Builders. This custom pickup
currently has only 11 test miles since build completion. **TITLE
