For Sale at Auction: 1948 Lincoln Continental in Scottsdale, Arizona

This 1948 Lincoln Continental is powered by its original 292ci flathead V12 engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission equipped with overdrive. The car retains factory power windows, an AM signal-seeking radio and a heater/defroster, all reported to be operational. Recent servicing, maintenance and mechanical refurbishment totaling over $15,000 were completed prior to the auction. The interior appears original and is upholstered in green leather and green cloth, with chrome and Bakelite trim reported to be in excellent condition. The exterior has been refinished in its original Valley Green Poly and features push-button door handles, quarter-panel stone guards, rear fender skirts, dual side mirrors and a rear-mounted spare tire carrier. Exterior chrome is reported to be in excellent condition. The car rides on Coker full whitewall tires with under 500 miles of use. This model year marked the final year of the first-generation Lincoln Continental and the final American production vehicle factory-equipped with a V12 engine.
