283ci V8 engine equipped with Rochester Ramjet fuel injection and a
high-lift Duntov camshaft, paired with a 3-speed manual
transmission. Documentation identifies it as a 1957 model built at
the Oakland, CA, assembly plant with style code 571067DTX,
designating a Bel Air convertible. It has since received a complete
body-off rotisserie restoration. The body is refinished in its
original Matador Red, with the paint wet-sanded and buffed to a
high-gloss finish, complemented by excellent chrome and stainless
trim. A black convertible top is fitted, and the underside is
finished in red oxide primer in keeping with traditional period
practices. The interior features two-tone red and silver upholstery
and retains the original AM radio. Additional exterior equipment
includes a Continental kit, dual rear antennas, fender skirts,
wheel spinners, dual exhaust and 7.50-14 bias-ply wide whitewall
tires.
