1965 PONTIAC GTO 389 TRIPOWER CALIFORNIA CAR, PHS DOCUMENTED,
VINTAGE A/C, TREMIC 5 SPEED This is one good looking GTO in its
factory color Montero Red, code R. It has all the original sheet
metal. It is straight down both sides, all the panels fit square
and flush. The doors open and shut like new. The clear coat finish
is smooth and glossy. The door jambs are just as glossy as the
exterior. Up front; the bumper, headlight bezels and around the
grills are like new. The rear bumper has been rechromed. The tail
panel and tail light bezels and lenses are in good shape. All the
weather stripping has been replaced. The door handles and all the
emblems are nice. It sits on a set of Cragar SS wheels with a set
of BFG Goodrich T/A radial tires. The red interior sets it apart
from the others. The interior looks very good. The seat upholstery
looks excellent. The door panels, carpet, headliner, armrest bases
and pads have all been replaced. The rear seat is very nice. It
sports a factory wood steering wheel. In between the bucket seats
there is a Hurst 5-speed shifter with white shift knob sticking out
of the floor with the correct shift boot that is in good condition.
Looking at the dash it has the optional Rally gauges and factory
tach. It has a factory AM radio w/Bluetooth audio receiver linked
with an amplifier and subwoofer. The heater controls slide with
ease and has front and rear seat belts. The engine compartment is
nicely detailed with a completely rebuilt, WS code 389 ci/ 360 hp
motor that features a tri-power setup on it! The carbs have been
completely restored and dialed in. It sports factory chrome valve
covers. The master cylinder has been upgraded to a dual master
cylinder. It has Vintage A/C and heat. It also features a 4 core
aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine bay, core
support and firewall are painted and have a nice satin black
finish. The undercarriage is as clean as the top side. All the
steering and suspension components look good. The floors are all
clean original metal, no signs of any patches. There is a dual
exhaust system that runs all the way out the rear with correct
factory splitters. It has a newer gas tank, sending unit and
straps. The E-brake system is all complete and working. The trunk
is solid and nicely detailed with factory spatter paint. It has a
spare tire, jack assembly, lug wrench, trunk mat and newer weather
stripping. What an amazing GTO! This is truly a beauty! Tri-power,
