Restoration Details
This vehicle underwent a comprehensive "frame off" restoration,
spending two years on a rotisserie to ensure meticulous attention
to every detail. The original frame has been sandblasted and powder
coated for longevity and durability. The X-frame was specially
customized, replacing it with a heavy-duty one-piece driveshaft for
improved performance. Beneath the car, the undercarriage is
excellent in condition and finished with specialized undercarriage
paint.

Suspension, Brakes, and Wheels
All suspension components have been replaced with new moving parts,
except for the rearend internals, which remain original. Stopping
power is provided by a Stainless-Steel Brake Company system with
four-wheel disc brakes. The car rides on 18" American Racing billet
wheels, combining classic style with modern performance.
Engine and Transmission
At the heart of this Bel Air is a stroker 409 engine, bored out to
450 cubic inches. The engine was broken in and tested on a dyno,
producing 465 horsepower and over 500 ft-lbs. of torque. The build
began with a Chevrolet 1960 409 block, which received precise
machine work from Show Cars Automotive in New Ulm, MN. Upgrades
include a Skat stroker crank, aftermarket rods and pistons, and an
11:1 compression ratio. The engine is topped off with aluminum
Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, an Edelbrock dual quad intake
manifold, and Edelbrock AVS 2 carburetors.
Additional Features
The front dress features March billet aluminum components,
including power steering, alternator, and compressor. Power brakes
are supplied via a CPP hydro-boost system. Shifting is handled by a
Tremec five-speed transmission, ensuring a smooth and responsive
driving experience. The wheels are American Racing billet,
enhancing the car's classic appeal.
Comfort and convenience are further enhanced by a Vintage Air AC
system, uniquely installed in a one-of-a-kind center console. The
custom bucket seat interior was designed and crafted by South West
Florida Customs in Punta Gorda, Florida, adding a bespoke touch to
this remarkable restoration.
