This 1983 Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) is a super nice, really clean CJ
that was frame-off restored 3-4 years ago and has around 4,000
miles on it since being completed. They did a great job on this
restoration and everything looks new or rebuilt. It was built to be
able to take off road, but has never been taken off road. The body
is clean an straight and the Jeep was totally disassembled when it
was restored and painted. The Copper Metallic Orange paint looks
awesome in person and the inside of the tub and underside was
professionally Line-Xed when restored. It also received a new
Bestop soft top. It has Warn aftermarket front and rear bumpers and
the raer bumper has a built in tire carrier. The underside is
obviously super clean and there are no rust issues with this
Jeep.
The interior is also really nice and was restored as well. It has
Bestop aftermarket front and rear seats, a locking center console,
locking glove box, new door panels, new visors, and new bluetooth
stereo with speakers. The dash was painted to match the body color
and totally redone with new gauges, switches, and heater controls.
The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. The windshield wipers, heater, and
horn all work as well.
Mechanically this Jeep is top notc and it runs and drives great!!
The engine has been updated to a new 4.0L (244 cubic inch) with
factory fuel injection and it runs strong. The engine compartment
is super clean and we were told the engine has around 50,000 miles
on it. The engine has an AEM Cold Air Intake, a new aluminum
radiator, and was completely tuned up when restored. It has the T4
manual transmission that shifts great with a strong clutch. The
clutch was new when the zJeep was restored. It is mated to the Dana
300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The Jeep
received new body mounts, new u-joints, new brakes, stainless brake
lines, new booster, and much more It has a 3 1/2 Inch BOS lift with
new springs and shocks and also HD Shackles. This was a quality
build. It is sitting on new aluminum wheels and newer Nitto Trail
Grappler tires size 315/70/17.
