Monte Carlo SS, one of only 12 built with Dark Maroon Metallic
exterior (79U), matching maroon cloth interior (79R), factory
T-tops (CC1), N90 aluminum wheels, G80 Posi rear, and full power
options including power windows (A31), power trunk (A90), and

Output V8 (rebuilt with stock bore and mild performance cam for a
distinctive lope and enhanced sound) and 200-4R transmission (fully
rebuilt with shift kit, new internals, and 1900-rpm stall torque
converter). The original G80 Posi differential with 3.73 gears
remains in place. Recent mechanical enhancements include a rebuilt
Quadrajet carburetor, shorty ceramic-coated headers, G-Force
crossmember enabling true dual 2.5-inch exhaust with Flowmaster 50
Series mufflers, new OEM-style radiator, water pump, heater core,
and 100-amp alternator. Braking system is all new, with front
rotors and calipers, rear drums and shoes.
Suspension has been upgraded with UMI 2-inch lowering springs and
Bilstein shocks for improved handling, complemented by brand-new
17-inch N90-style aluminum wheels and performance tires. The
exterior features fresh Dark Maroon Metallic paint with correct SS
graphics and decals (solid driver quality, rated 6 out of 10),
while the interior is entirely new maroon cloth, including seats,
carpet, headliner, and door panels. All weatherstripping and T-top
seals are replaced for leak-free operation. The undercarriage has
been cleaned, detailed, and painted black. Audio upgrades consist
of a Pioneer 1-DIN GM-replacement CD player with new front and
rear speakers.
