Check out the classic looks of this Superformance MKIII Roadster.
The Dark Silver paint retains classic looks with just enough
metallic to show off the beautiful body lines. Cobra badges are
fitted to the nose and trunk, as well as the Steering Wheel Center
Cap. Tri-Bar Headlights are a very nice period upgrade along with
fender vents painted to match the body color. This car features a
Roadster Style Hood Scoop and is also available with a matching
Hood with no Scoop. Polished Stainless Steel Roadster Bumpers are
fitted front and rear. The rear exit exhaust is trimmed shorter
than stock and blacked out to match the original 427 Roadsters.
Paint Protective Film (PPF) protects that beautiful paint on the
nose and rear fenders.
Under the Hood things get even more special. Not your typical 427
Small Block crate motor, this 427 Windsor is custom built by Cobra
Automotive - known for their high quality engine builds and
attention to detail. It is topped off by a Holley Sniper Electronic
Fuel Injection system and mated to a Tremec TKX 5 Speed Manual
Transmission breathing through custom Stainless Steel Headers. The
Stainless Steel Header Tank has been coated black to add to the
period correct touches on this car along with Cobra Valve Covers
and period correct Air Cleaner. Super Sticky Avon Tires ride on
period correct 15" Halibrand Style Pin Drive Wheels with raw
Stainless Steel Spinners.
One of the main features of these cars is the sound. This MKIII
Roadster allows you to have your cake and eat it too! You get the
classic Roadster sound of rear exit exhaust, however if you are
feeling a bit rowdy, just hit the remote to open the electronic
exhaust cutouts and this Roadster will put any side pipe car to
shame!
This Superformance MKIII has a Limited Slip Differential and Power
Disc 4 Piston Wilwood Brakes. Other options include the
custom-tuned Bilstein coil-over shocks with adjustable ride
height.
*SP03758 has period correct Smiths Gauges with a Lucas Ammeter
Gauge in the period correct dash layout, as well as a beautiful
wood-rimmed steering wheel. The doors are secured by original style
carriage style latches. All openings, such as engine bay, trunk,
and cockpit are wrapped around steel subframe for increased
strength and support. The steering wheel is crafted of fine wood
while the dash is wrapped in leather, as are the steel framed seats
that have period correct webbing for comfort and elegant
aesthetics. Other key accessories include a fitted tonneau cover,
custom floor mats with Shelby logo, and Paint Protective Film on
the Nose and Rear Fenders.
The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted
reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll
Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in recreating the
legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
SP03758 is titled in Florida as a 1965 SUFO (Superformance) with a
