INTRODUCTION: A two top Fuelie! VIN #s matching 327 fuelie, 4 speed
manual trans, and 4.11 posi rear end. Being triple black doesn't
hurt it either; what a mischievous and gorgeous color combination.
It's been nicely restored, starts easily, and drives fantastic.
This is the pinnacle of first generation Corvettes!
EXTERIOR: Desirable color combo! Plus it's a 2 topper that includes
a folding black convertible top and a removable hardtop that
matches the exterior paint. Very good fit and finishes throughout
with consistent gaps and doors that close easily. Looking down the
side of the nice and straight body is impressive with its smooth
contours and sharp lines. The paint has a shiny high gloss finish
and the brightwork has a lustrous shine. The weatherstrips are soft
and pliable. It's sitting pretty on a set of 15" painted steel rims
with factory spinner hubcaps and reproduction Firestone Deluxe
Champion whitewall tires.
INTERIOR: Very nicely restored! It has the correct style grey and
black speckled carpet that's in great shape. The upholstery and
door panels were replaced plus the dash pad is fresh. The
fiberglass was repainted and has a nice shiny finish. All the
gauges are clean with clear lenses and it has the correct 6500
redline tachometer. It also has the original style Wonderbar in the
factory location. All the knobs, handles, armrests look great.
Correct lockout shifter with original knob, and a new bezel. It has
seat belts and some embroidered mats too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Great originality! The original #'s matching
fuel injected 327 with 360 horsepower. The casting codes and dates
line up, the matching vin is stamped on the pad, the fuel injection
unit even has correct #s on its tag. In addition to the fuel
injection some of the other features included an aggressive cam,
domed pistons, high compression, high revving solid lifters, high
performance heads and they were dressed with finned aluminum valve
covers. It has correct air cleaner, ignition shielding, deep groove
pulleys, choke tube, glass fuel filter etc. Correct radiator,
shroud, fan, expansion tank and even the clamps. It is detailed
very nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Beautifully finished! The underside of the trunk
lid, inside the jamb, and the trunk pan have all been neatly
repainted. The black rubber mat, divider, latch mechanism, and
weatherstrip were all replaced. Under the mat is all clean
fiberglass and a spare tire. A car cover is also included.
UNDERSIDE: It's very clean, well preserved and maintained as
needed. The floors are still in their raw fiberglass and have not
been painted over like most of them. The frame and chassis
components are clean metal painted satin black. After our
inspection of the suspension and steering we replaced the kingpins
and bushings then had the front end aligned. It still has its
travel limit straps in back. The exhaust system looks solid and has
a crossover pipe. The brakes are working properly, e-brake is
hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is clean and has the correct
canister type oil filter. The original #s matching T10 4-speed was
just rebuilt and it has a new clutch. The u-joints look fresh on
the driveshaft which leads back to its original 4.11 posi; dated
1962, code CN.
SERVICE: Turnkey ready! We take pride in our cars and reputation.
Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service
center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials
on every car we sell.
CONCLUSION: This is a classic Corvette with aggressive power and
looks to match! It's exhilarating to drive, so much more fun than
stocks or bonds.
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
