This 1984 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup was the recipient of an
extensive custom build by Hill's Hot Rods in Lubbock, TX. The build
included various performance and suspension modifications - nothing
was left untouched. It's powered by a Sunset Racecraft-built
6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine featuring Texas Speed CNC-machined heads
and cam, backed by a Hughes Performance 4L80 automatic transmission
custom-built for the Twist Machine paddle-shift setup. Under the
hood is a Champion custom radiator with dual fans in an aluminum
shroud, Holley mid-rise intake with drive-by-wire throttle body,
and a Billet Specialties front runner accessories and brackets with
alternator, water pump and air-conditioning compressor. It exhales
out of a custom stainless exhaust system, including a set of Kooks
stainless-steel headers with Borla XR1 mufflers by A&B Muffler.
Other features include a custom driveshaft by Driveline Express,
American Autowire wiring harness installed by JD Glassworks, KP
Components full air-ride with Slam Specialties air bags, AccuAir
air-ride management and Switch Suspension valve/tank combo, all
mounted under the bed with the controller custom-fitted in the
console. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 6-piston front and
4-piston rear calipers with rear slotted rotors and a Wilwood
master cylinder. It rides on custom black and Graphite Raceline
Newport billet wheels (20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the rear), all
wrapped in with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. All bodywork, fabrication and
paint were done by Hill's Hot Rods. The truck is finished in custom
PPG Deep Metallic Graphite paint with flat Blood Red graphics by
Jason Hill. Body modifications include custom flush-mounted front
and rear glass using stock Chevrolet glass, one-piece side glass
with electric controls, smoothed firewall with all stock
brackets/holes filled/removed, shaved door handles and taillights
with custom LED taillights flush mounted in the rear bumper. It has
tucked and shaved front and rear bumpers, metal
cowl-induction-style hood with Wam Rods hood struts, shaved
tailgate, fuel door and bed stake pockets, radiator core support
and new LMC grille and clear headlights from an '88-91 Suburban.
The red interior is trimmed in dark gray and includes Snowden
custom bucket seats in red leather by Fisher Trim, a custom center
console featuring a Lokar billet shifter, wireless phone charger
and air-ride controls. It also features Classic Instruments
Autocross custom gauges and an Ididit custom steering column with a
Billet Specialties flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in red
leather. The custom fiberglass door panels and dashboard are
covered in red Ultraleather. It's equipped with a Vintage Air
system and a push-button start on the dash with a 3D-printed panel
hiding the key switch and subwoofer control in the ashtray. It also
features a Kicker KMC5 head unit, KEY200.4 and KEY500.1 amplifiers,
KSS65 6.5-inch front speakers and L7T84 8-inch subwoofers in custom
enclosures behind the seats. This pickup was featured as the cover
truck for the November 2022 issue of CK Truck magazine. It was also
awarded Best Design Excellence at the C10 Nationals in 2022. CARFAX
