This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is powered by a period-correct 426ci HEMI V8 engine mated to a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Factory-equipped with a bench seat and column shift, it features cold-air induction, factory tachometer, AM radio, Road wheels wrapped in red line Polyglas tires, black Air Grabber hood treatment and the signature Road Runner "beep beep" horn. The car has been fully restored and is finished in its original A4 Silver Poly exterior. Although the VIN includes a "J" engine code for a 426 HEMI and an "E" assembly code for Los Angeles, CA, HEMI engines were not installed at the Los Angeles assembly plant during this model year. An aftermarket Trim Tag is present and contains inaccurate production codes. The vehicle does not display the factory subframe reinforcements associated with HEMI-equipped vehicles.
