INTRODUCTION: Meticulous build top to bottom! The fit and finish is
excellent, stainless hardware was used throughout, and it functions
great! Less than 800 miles showing on the odometer, it still looks
fresh. The walnut body, chromed Northstar engine and TCI chassis
are just a few of the unique features on this classy hot rod. My
guys really love this one, cars come and go here and this one has
grabbed a lot of people's attention including my Father's, he
flipped over it!
EXTERIOR: Rare walnut body with Kewazingo inserts. The woodwork is
solid and has a beautiful glossy finish. The doors use piano hinges
for a solid and square fit, they shut like a regular car. The black
painted surfaces are laser straight and have a mirror reflection.
The padded top is finished in a rich black cloth. The glass is all
smoked, the doors even have power windows! I love the big original
style headlamps with Ford script lenses, the front turn signals are
inconspicuously mounted under the fenders. In back it is using
original style taillights along with flush mounted LED brake lights
in the body. Those aren't the only flush mounted lights, there are
some under the doors that light up when you open the doors with the
hidden levers. How about the 4 individual side pipes showing under
each fender! It is rolling proud and pretty on the Boyd's wheels:
17s in front, 18s in back and they are wearing Pirelli P Zero
tires.
INTERIOR: It is actually a very comfortable interior, I'm sitting
in the car as I write this. The Tea seats are sporty buckets in
front and a matching bench in back. Professionally installed gray
tweed upholstery and cut carpet with bound edges. It also has 4
sets of seat belts, a Lokar shifter and chrome e-brake handle on
the floor. There is certainly an abundance of beautiful woodwork
inside as well, all with a high gloss polished finish in excellent
shape. The walnut dash has vintage style gauges with Ford script
and a matching quartz clock. The polished tilt column has a
beautiful banjo style steering wheel with a walnut rim. An overhead
console has a stereo and power deadbolt lock switches for the
suicide doors.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Cadillac Hot Rod Fabricators (CHRF) figured the
really cool old school hot rods used Cadillac motors so why not
incorporate the revolutionary Northstar engine into a Ford hot rod
today. Well they successfully did and then turned it into a
business. This 4.6 liter all aluminum V-8 with dual overhead cams
and 4 valves per cylinder was built using CHRF components and
innovation. It also has the Northstar Performance head bolt
upgrade. It's covered in chrome and just looks cool, everyone
thinks it's a Hemi!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The rear is very accessible with easy to open
upper and lower doors. When the tailgate is down it has a beautiful
wood finish.
UNDERSIDE: TCI chassis. Boxed and smoothed frame with tubular
center support The front independent suspension is completely
polished including the tubular control arms, swaybar, coilover
adjustable gas shocks, spindles. in back it has a 4 link system
with polished tubular control arms and panhard bar, coilover
adjustable gas shocks. There are disc brakes at all 4 wheels ,
polished calipers, polished backing plates, polished master
cylinder, chrome power booster, in front, e-brake. Rack & pinion
steering. Polished stainless fuel tank. Looking up at the motor the
oil pan is polished, the trans is a 700R4 overdrive automatic.
polished aluminum driveshaft. Currie 9 inch rear with polished and
finned center section chrome axle tubes. It's detailed under here,
if it's not gloss black it's polished aluminum or chrome!
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: The closer you look the more you will appreciate the
extra care, time and skill that went into this build. I'm
impressed!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
