INTRODUCTION: Only 600 miles on frame off, meticulous restoration!
Really, this one is outstanding. Not only is everything like but it
fits and functions great too. It checks all the boxes with
features: 454, 5-speed, a/c, 4 wheel disc, QA1 suspension and
more!
EXTERIOR: I don't think it looked this good when it was new! The
paint is polished like glass. This body is exceptionally clean: the
gaps are spot on including the tricky area where the hood meets the
headlight bezels. The doors shut like new, it has an actual cowl
induction hood with the flapper door. Every inch is laser straight
with no rust or damage. The deep rich Fathom Green is laid out
evenly and the clear coat is polished to a high shine. The stripes
are painted on correctly and are smooth to the touch. All of the
exterior chrome, trim and weatherstrips were replaced. It even has
all new smoked glass. It rolls on a modern set of SS wheels. They
are 17 inch billet and wrapped in Nitto performance tires.
INTERIOR: I can name every piece in the interior but to save time
I'm going to tell you it is new from carpet to headliner! I'm
talking about the wiring, gauges, seat cushions, seat tracks,
window cranks and even the glovebox lock. The original Am-Fm
actually has modern internals including Bluetooth and feeds tunes
to kick panels speakers along with 6x9s in back. Still my favorite
feature is the 5-speed shifter sticking out of the floor!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a very fresh and tidy motor
compartment, everything looks new! The heartbeat comes from a 454
with 4 bolt mains, hotter cam, rectangular port heads, Edelbrock
Performer aluminum intake, dual feed Holley carb and an HEI
ignition. Topping it off is a functional cowl induction system!
There is a new Vintage Air heat and a/c system along with power
steering and power brakes. All of the components are new: the
alternator, brackets, fuel pump, horns, battery cables etc. It was
upgraded with an aluminum radiator along with a new shroud and
clutch fan. All the metal surfaces are smooth and painted
nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
just as slick as the outside of the car. The latch mechanism and
weatherstrip look new. Inside is pristine metal with a very neatly
applied spatter finish paint.
UNDERSIDE: It was a body off the frame restoration, it is rebuilt
and detailed! The steering and suspension is all new and upgraded
with QA1 tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks and a
heavier sway bar. It has a QA1 upgraded rear suspension too with
solid lower control arms, adjustable upper control arms, frame
supports, coilover double adjustable gas shocks, and a swaybar. It
has a new fuel system including the tank and the lines. Great
sounding custom exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and an X-pipe. It
has been upgraded with disc brakes at all four wheels, the lines
and e-brake assembly have been replaced. Looking up at the motor it
is spotless, it has an extra capacity Meloden oil pan. The trans is
upgraded with a Tremec 5 speed with a hydraulic clutch. The rebuilt
drive shaft goes back to a 12 bolt rear end with 3.31 gears. The
floors are so pristine they were painted the same gloss dark green
as the body. The chassis is all detailed in semi black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Here is an exceptional car, go look at 100 others and
I'm confident this one will be on top. The fit, finishes and
functions are outstanding!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
