INTRODUCTION: A real GT, California car that had a rotisserie
restoration in 2008! Beautiful Vintage Burgundy with a Pony
interior and a 4-speed! Classic Americana.
EXTERIOR: Clean, straight and great fitting body! The doors shut
like a new car. Repainted its original Vintage Burgundy color
without a vinyl top. The tiny metallic is laid out evenly and the
clear is polished smooth and glossy. The chrome and trim looks
great, the windshield and weatherstrips were replaced. It features
the GT emblems, stripes and fog lamps. The GT wheels were upgraded
to 15 inch and radial tires.
INTERIOR: Everybody loves the pony interior, and this one's got it!
It's in great shape from carpet to headliner. The doors have the
deluxe molded door panels, knife handle door openers, working
lights and the optional stereo speakers, it all looks to be in
excellent shape. The deluxe seats with the ponies have been
re-cushioned and upholstered. The carpet fits real nicely and
there's also reproduction pony mats. The headliner, visors and
mirror have been replaced. You'll be looking at a new dash pad,
excellent instrument panels and the reproduction deluxe steering
wheel. There's a couple of upgrades including a retro stereo and
three-point retractable seat belts in front. Another great feature
would be the original 4-speed shifter sticking out of the hump!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The "A" in the VIN indicates the performance
289 with a 4-barrel which is required for a GT. This motor is
running great, it's all stock including the manifolds and open
element chrome air cleaner, although it is dressed up with some
Cobra finned valve covers. All of the components look clean and
proper, the radiator is upgraded to an aluminum one. The engine bay
is clean metal that's been neatly painted.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
slick like the exterior. Inside is clean metal also painted body
color. It has a reproduction mat and weatherstrip, someone even
paid the extra for a fifth matching GT wheel and tire.
UNDERSIDE: Rotisserie restored in 2008, all of the components were
removed and the underbody was then prepped and painted in factory
primer. Claimed to be clean and original California metal. The
steering and suspension was rebuilt or replaced and upgraded with
gas shocks. It has a factory style GT exhaust with the stainless
tips going through the rear valance. The fuel system was replaced
including the tank and the lines. The brake system was gone
through, it has disc in front and the e-brake is hooked up. Looking
up at the motor it is clean, has the correct fuel pump/filter and
starter. It also has a correct 4-speed trans and in back the
original 3.00 posi rear end.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Mustangs are as American as apple pie and baseball!
These popular cars are easy to operate and maintain, every part is
available stock or custom and they hold their value well. This GT
is a great investment in your happiness!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
