INTRODUCTION: Vic Edelbrock Jrs personal car, Hot Rod cover car! Here is your one time chance to own the personal car of one of the automotive industrie's most influential people- Vic Edelbrock Jr. Some of his accomplishments included being inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame, he was a former president and driving force of SEMA and turned Edelbrock into one of the world's leading suppliers of high performance auto parts. Vic commissioned Posies Rods and Customs to build him a car that represents Edelbrock's high standards and most importantly it needs to be very road friendly. Vic was passionate about this car, nicknaming it "Vic's Redhead". Vic personally put most of the 14,400 miles on this car including multiple Hot Rod Power Tours.

EXTERIOR: Here is proof that when a car is done right it can last a long time! This body is still laser straight and looks like it was just finished. There's some extensive body mods you probably didn't even notice but enhance the overall appearance: the top was chopped 1 inches, the peaks on top of the fenders were smoothed out, the front edge of the fenders and hood were extended, the louvers on each fender were smoothed out, recessed marker lights were added. They say the rear wheel well was made an inch bigger and the rockers were rounded. Finished in Edelbrock Red with a clear coat finished polished like glass. Did you notice the ghost flames on each side? All of the chrome was replaced, the stainless trim was polished like chrome and the side moldings were shortened 4 inches and moved up one inch. The lower bumpers were downsized and painted with a gray chip guard. A honeycomb grill was made along with a floating stainless bar. Where the rubber bullets once were now has turn signals behind honeycomb grilles, the headlights are LED. In back the bumper under the exhaust has been converted with extra running/brake lights. The glass and weatherstrips were replaced. Colorado Custom made these one off wheels designed by Posies. They are 17x8s in front and 20x10s in back and are wearing Dunlop performance tires.

INTERIOR: Complete custom upholstery by Dick Gerwer upholstery. Vic was a big guy, this is a roomy, comfortable interior. It has Tea's Design seats covered in real leather along with the custom door panels. The dash is completely refabricated and completed with VDO gauges, Vintage Air controls and a Sony stereo. The system also includes a 200 watt amp, CD changer, 6x9s. It uses a Painless wiring system and has power windows. Colorado Custom made a steering wheel to match the wheels and it's mounted on a polished tilt column. Down on the floor is custom cut carpet and mats, it's a little discolored. The headliner and visors are in excellent shape.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Check this out! It has custom shrouds over inner fenders and radiator along with a smoothed firewall. In the center of it all is 383 stroker making 408 hp and 450 lbs of torque and runs on 87 octane. Built by Robert Jung of Edelbrock he started with a GM ZZ block, gave it an Edelbrock Rollin Thunder roller cam, Edelbrock aluminum Performer RPM heads, Edelbrock E-Street 2 EFI system, MSD ignition system and custom fabricated headers by DAH Works. A heavy duty Walker radiator with electric fan keeps it cool. Features include a Vintage Air heat and a/c system, power steering, modern alternator and a Wilwood master cylinder. It's appropriately dressed with Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick. Inside was lined with Extreme Liner sound deadener then boxed and carpeted.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame for a complete restoration with upgrades. The frame was reconstructed in back for wider tires and a lower stance, then smoothed and painted black. The clean, all metal floors and fender wells were sprayed with a Dynashield sound deadener, then Edelbrock Red, then cleared. Upfront it has Heidts drop spindles, Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks, 1 inch lowering springs, bigger swaybar, polyurethane bushings and a Mullins built steering box. In back it has relocated Posies Super Slide leaf springs, lowering blocks, Edelbrock IAS shocks and a swaybar. The coated 3 inch custom exhaust has x-pipe, Edelbrock 304 stainless mufflers and exits through the bumper. The stopping power is provided by 6 piston, polished Wilwood calipers and has drilled and slotted discs at all 4 wheels: 13 inch in front, 12 in back and a custom e-brake system. The fuel system is custom, including a stainless tank. Looking up at the motor it has a Milodon oil pan and a high torque starter. The 700R4 overdrive automatic was completely rebuilt and upgraded by Torrance Transmissions, and has an external oil cooler. The custom built driveshaft leads back to a 9 inch rear with a Strange center section, 3.50 gears in an aluminum finned Currie housing.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: This isn't just a celebrity car, it's the personal hot rod of one of the most famous hot rodders of all time! It's simply a great car you can use and has a fantastic provenance. Don't hesitate, you won't get this chance again!
