frame-off restoration and retains its date-coded L78
high-performance 396/375hp V8 engine paired with an M21 Muncie
4-speed manual transmission. The powertrain is supported by its
factory cowl-induction system and correct high-performance
components consistent with the L78 package. Chassis and suspension
features include G80 posi-traction, F41 performance suspension and
JL2 power disc brakes, all restored to factory specifications as
part of the build. Exterior features include its factory Code 75
Cranberry Red finish, factory black SS stripes and factory SS Rally
wheels fitted with period-correct BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The
interior is restored with factory-correct bucket seats and console
and includes the U14 SS Gauge Package and A51 Strato bucket seat
option. This Chevelle is one of only 2,144 L78 375hp examples
produced in 1970 and is documented with its original Build Sheet.
It is listed in the Chevelle L78 Registry as No. L78-022 and
includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
