This custom 1996 AM General Humvee M1123 is powered by a 6.6-liter
LBZ Duramax V8 diesel engine paired with a built Allison 6-speed
automatic transmission and four-wheel drive with portal hubs. The
powertrain features an AirDog II-4G fuel system, Exergy Sportsman
remanufactured injectors, Garrett VVT Stealth 64 turbocharger and a
modified Allison transmission with upgraded clutches and shift kit.
The chassis includes a four-door wagon-back conversion performed by
Plan B Supply in Ogden, UT, and was converted from a 24-volt to a
12-volt electrical system using an Infinity Box Smart Electrical
system with dual power cells located in the center console and
beneath the rear body. Suspension and drivetrain components are
maintained with synthetic lubricants throughout, including engine,
transmission, portal hubs, differentials and joints. Stopping is
handled by factory Humvee braking components. Exterior features
include a three-coat Rhino Lining body finish, front and rear
bumpers, powder-coated rack and mounting hardware, integrated Warn
winch rated at 6.5 tons, safari rack rated at 1.5 tons, Rigid LED
lighting throughout and rear hitch. Interior features include added
seating with seat belts, heavy-duty air-conditioning system, 18,000
BTU heater, Sennheiser S1 digital aviation headsets and integrated
Infinity Box wiring controls. Additional features include a full
set of four off-road V-chains, onboard floor jack, safety-wired CV
shafts for added retention and documentation noting original
GovPlanet purchase and subsequent street-legal conversion.
