The 'entry level' Cadillac, the Series 60 was introduced in 1936 as a competitor to the Packard Six and to fill in the price gap between LaSalle and the Cadillac Series 70. Featuring a V8 just as with its larger siblings (first 322ci, then increased to 346ci in 1937), the Series 60's independent front suspension, Bendix brakes, and superlative build quality brought the Cadillac name to customers who may have otherwise gone elsewhere. Its stunning Art Deco styling certainly helped bring buyers into showrooms, too.
Produced for only three model years, the Series 60 was replaced by the 61 in 1939 and was further spun off to the Sixty Special, which continued in various guises through 1993. Today, Series 60s have become exceptionally rare, especially in fully restored condition, and they are still exceptional choices for classic drivers to this day.
The sensational 1938 Cadillac Series 60 Coupe featured here is finished in striking Chantel Blue with a gorgeous Grey Bedford cloth upholstery. This investment-grade example has only travelled 1,903 miles following a no-expense-spared frame-off restoration with over $150,000 spent, making this without question the finest example of this iconic model to be found anywhere in the world. We are proud to offer this extremely rare Cadillac 60 Coupe to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who demands to own one of the best at an investment price!
