This custom 1969 Ford Mustang fastback received a professional no-expense-spared, nut-and-bolt restoration and custom build by the experts at Motorcity Grind in Royal Oak, MI. It is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter Shelby GT500 crate motor rated at 750hp and featuring a Ford Performance Control Pack PCM with custom tuning and Bosch intercooler pump. This is the same engine that powers the S550-generation Shelby GT500. Power is delivered through a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission with QuickTime scatter shield and McLeod clutch kit to a Street or Track 9-inch rear end with a 3.50 gear ratio, Dutchman 31-spline axles and Strange Pro HD aluminum center section with True Trac posi-traction. The chassis features a Mustangs to Fear IFS kit with front crossmember, QA1 coilover suspension, control arms, a Street or Track three-link rear suspension with coilovers and a Watts link setup, front and rear sway bars, EPAS electric power rack & pinion steering with GPS, subframe connectors, mini-tubs, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers aided by an electric power-assisted brake master cylinder. Fuel delivery is handled by an Aeromotive 340 Stealth electric dual-pump fuel system, while spent gases exit through a set of long-tube headers feeding an H-pipe dual exhaust system with Borla S-Type mufflers. Engine cooling is handled with a Griffin radiator with dual electric fans. Comfort and convenience upgrades include an Old Air Products air-conditioning system, American Autowire wiring harness, Dakota Digital gauges, TMI leather-wrapped steering wheel, Ididit tilt steering column, integrated power windows and an upgraded audio system with RetroSound head unit, JL 5-channel amplifier and four JL speakers with a 10-inch subwoofer. The deluxe interior package includes a hydro-dipped dash, deluxe door panels, TMI Sport II seats with folding rear seat, center console and three-point front seat harnesses. Dynamat sound-deadening has been installed, and the trunk is also upholstered. The exterior is expertly sprayed in black PPG Deltron paint and features a front spoiler, LED headlights, driving lights, hood scoop, rear window louvers, color-matched and body-fitted bumpers, a rear spoiler, all-new glass and Magnum 500 wheels. The engine bay and undercarriage are also painted, and the exterior has been ceramic-coated. This is a fresh build completed in the summer of 2025 and all build invoices are included with the sale.
