Major recent mechanical work includes new cylinders, pistons and rings - along with a new clutch plate, new pushrods, seals, tubes, and a new belt. The engine has been timed and tuned for comfortable 70-mph cruising, and all fuel lines have been redone for reliability. The carburetor has also been professionally cleaned. This 1973 Super Beetle features four-wheel disc brakes, with the option to add a brake booster for an even firmer pedal feel. Intermediate steering shaft has been replaced, and the Super Beetlespecific front suspension upgrade provides improved ride quality and handling. Inside, a new interior carpet kit freshens the cabin, and the battery has been relocated to the trunk with the appropriate re-wiring. The shifter bushings are intact and present, resulting in solid shift feel.
