This custom 2000 Ford Mustang was initially modified by Saleen with
their S281-SC package and is one of only 307 coupes produced for
the 2000 model year. This Saleen wears serial badge number 00-0034.
This S281 was subsequently further enhanced for increased
performance. The Saleen supercharger was replaced with a custom
76mm turbocharger, Reichard Racing intake manifold, Vortech
front-mount intercooler and charge pipe, SPE fuel rails and TiAL
wastegate with XB Powerflash. When tuned on 93-octane gas and on
low boost the car makes 508hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque at the rear
wheels. The engine is paired with a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic
transmission with a Cheetah SCS 3-speed Turbo shifter. The exterior
is enhanced with Saleen's aggressive bodywork and is finished in
black over a black leather interior. The 15-inch five-spoke Billet
Specialties wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson ET Street
radial tires, with meaty 275/60 rears. The interior features
Saleen-branded main gauges with added AutoMeter gauges for fuel,
boost, water and oil. For safety, a six-point roll cage and Simpson
five-point racing harnesses have been installed. 26,618 actual
