This custom 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup is powered by an LS3 V8
engine upgraded with a Comp Cams camshaft and springs, mated to a
4L90E 6-speed automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shifter.
The engine features Wagner Engineering valve covers and a fully
detailed, black-anodized theme throughout. The factory frame has
been fully boxed and ceramic-coated, fitted with a ceramic-coated
four-bar rear suspension, a ceramic-coated Ford 9-inch rear end
with 3.73 posi-traction, and a Mustang II front suspension with
Flaming River power rack & pinion steering and adjustable shocks.
Braking is handled by 14-inch 6-piston Wilwood front brakes and
4-piston Wilwoods in the rear. Additional equipment includes
Vintage Air climate control, a Flaming River stainless tilt
steering column, Dakota Digital analog-digital gauges, power
windows with concealed crank-style switches and a fully
hand-fabricated metal center console. The interior features Porsche
black carpet, extensive black leather upholstery using seven full
hides, 1966 Impala seats, leather headliner and panels, and a
custom-finished dash. The bed features oak wood flooring with blind
stainless strips, tubbed wheel wells, and Cameo-specific fiberglass
bed sides and tailgate originally produced at the Corvette plant.
Exterior modifications include rounded hood and door openings,
Frenched and relocated park lights, tinted glass and a Gaylord
fiberglass tonneau cover with custom hinges.
