This 1958 Chevrolet Apache 3100 custom pickup is powered by a
cammed LS3 V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
This truck underwent a full frame-off modernization and restoration
and was custom-designed by Ralph Holguin and built by the team at
RMD Garage. It rides on a TCI Sports chassis with Ridetech
four-link rear suspension and coilover shocks. The body features a
fully molded engine bay with a shaved firewall and smooth inner
fenders, the result of extensive fabrication and metalwork.
Finished in BASF Platinum Silver with BASF Dark Shadow Gray upper
paint, the truck incorporates a custom fleetside bed, custom roll
pan and a translucent half-inch acrylic bed floor that displays the
chassis and suspension components. Chassis and drivetrain
components include a Currie 9-inch rear end, 14-inch Wilwood disc
brakes, Raceline wheels and a polished stainless-steel 3-inch Borla
exhaust system. Additional exterior details include LED headlights
and taillights, custom smoked one-piece glass, shaved door handles,
removed drip rails and Eddie Motorsports billet hinges. Cooling is
handled by an all-aluminum Mattson radiator. The interior features
a one-off custom all-leather interior with a custom center console
and headliner, and a Classic Instruments gauge cluster. Comfort and
convenience features include Vintage Air climate control, power
steering, power windows and power door locks. The undercarriage is
fully detailed with stainless-steel fasteners and custom mounting
brackets throughout.
