This 1972 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne Super pickup is a complete custom
build with attention to detail throughout. The professional
nut-and-bolt restoration was just completed with test miles only.
Thousands of hours went into this no-expense-spared unique build.
This K10 is powered by a new GM Performance 6.2-liter LS3 engine
topped with a Magnuson supercharger mated to a 6L80E 6-speed
automatic transmission and a GM electronic transfer case. This K10
sits atop a modern General Motors chassis equipped with modern GM
factory independent front suspension, power rack & pinion steering
and a four-link rear end with BDS-Fox 4-inch lift and Fox Factory
Race Series DSC adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled with a
power-assisted Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood 6-piston calipers,
and 13-inch slotted and drilled rotors. The body was professionally
prepared and then finished in BASF Vision Plus two-tone black and
white paint laid over a laser-straight body. The custom oak floor
bed is stained dark brown with polished stainless-steel strips.
Some of the custom metal work includes a smoothed firewall, custom
rolled inner fenders and a hidden fuel filler located in the rear
taillight. The frame was media-blasted and then coated with PPG
corrosion-resistant epoxy and finished in black. The exterior
features all-new bumpers, trim, emblems, glass and seals. This
beautiful truck rides on 18-inch KMC Grenade Crawl machined wheels
with 35x12.50 BFGoodrich KM3 tires. The interior was designed with
classic style and modern luxury by award-winning Jon Lind. It is
finished in Mercedes-Benz black leather with the correct Cheyenne
Super Western scroll. The dash, headliner, door panels, Sparc
custom-made steering wheel, center console and sun visors are all
wrapped in leather as well. The carpeting is black German
square-weave. The dash houses Dakota Digital RTX gauges maintaining
the stock OE appearance, while a Pioneer 9-inch touchscreen is
integrated into the dash with a custom design to keep an authentic
GM design appearance. Other highlights include a Vintage Air
system, power windows, tilt steering column, custom stainless-steel
exhaust system, Performance Rod and Custom aluminum radiator,
Wegner Motorsports front accessories drive, stainless-steel brake
lines, Holley valve covers, a custom-made air intake, Hooker
stainless steel headers, Ringbrothers hood hinges and an E-Stopp
emergency brake system.
