*1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe*The 964 generation was Porsche's
first foray into producing an all-wheel drive 911 and was the only
available option when the car first went on sale in 1989. Utilizing
lessons learned from the 959 supercar, the 964 Carrera 4 featured a
very high-tech all wheel drive system that both helped dramatically
with roadholding and increased the all-weather potential of the
rear-engined sports car.This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is a
beautiful example finished in Linen Metallic over Cashmere leather.
Showing 127,556 miles, it was purchased new at Hoffman Porsche in
Hartford, CT and was acquired by the consignor in May of 2024.
Although largely stock, this car does benefit from a number of
upgrades that make it both more appealing visually and more
exciting to drive. Sitting on a set of 17-inch Cup wheels with red
brake calipers behind them, the car has a more aggressive stance
thanks to a set of H&R Coilovers at all four corners. This not
only makes the car look great but stiffens the ride up a bit for
improved handling. More aerodynamic 993 mirrors have been
installed, and the car is fitted with fully remote locking. The
Cashmere (tan) full leather interior remains in very good overall
condition and has also seen some minor upgrades. A dished Momo
3-spoke steering wheel brings the wheel rim closer to the driver
which is quite desirable given the lack of telescoping steering
column on this generation 911. The wheel frames a 5-gauge cluster
with a large central tachometer just in front of the driver. In the
footwell, drilled aluminum pedals have been fitted, along with a
set of black and tan Coco Mats. The audio system in this car has
also been upgraded.Powering the 964 is a 3.6-liter M64 air-cooled
flat-6 with a factory power rating of 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft
of torque. This car has been enhanced with a modified stock exhaust
system that gives it a nice, deep tone without becoming overly loud
and annoying every day. In 2014 at around 100,000 miles, the engine
was entirely rebuilt by a marque specialist in Georgia. Power is
then sent through a 5-speed manual gearbox to all four wheels,
offering optimal traction in any situation. In addition to the
previously mentioned H&R coilovers, a strut brace has been
added up front to keep the chassis from flexing while
cornering. What makes the 964 generation 911 so desirable is that,
every drive feels special, even if you use the car every day -
which it is entirely capable of. With its numerous upgrades and
engine rebuild, the car still drives outstandingly and the modified
exhaust helps it sound fantastic too. Just a few moments behind the
wheel and you begin to understand why these 911s have become so
valuable in recent years.*Key Features* * 3.6-liter Air Cooled
